Patrick Townsley (b. 1802-1886) was married to Janet Elliott and it is presumed they immigrated to Canada from Carmoney, Antrim, Ireland. They settled near Montreal, in Lachine. John Walter Smith was born in Utah in 1871. His family were among the earliest members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, since his grandfather was a cousin of the prophet Joseph Smith. John William Pitcher was born 13 June 1871 in Smithfield, Utah. His parents were John Pitcher (1845-1938) and Rebecca Levell Brown (1846-1928). He married Mary Clarissa Thornley (1872-1946), daughter of John Thornley (1833-1886) and Margaret Stringfellow (1832-1904), 23 March 1892. They had twelve children. He died in 1938 in Cornish, Utah. Thomas Greaves (ca. 1650-ca. 1700) was "born . . . probably in Ireland although the original family seat seems to have been County Derby, England." He and his family immigrated from Ireland to Newcastle County, Delaware. Most descendants listed lived in Indiana and Minnesota.

John Ellithorpe, son of Thomas Ellithorpe and Abigail, was born in 1643 in Rowley, Massachusetts. He married Mary and they had six children. He died in 1719. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York and Vermont.
