The numbering of these cases will not follow the original numerical order. Since the cases fell apart and it was impossible to restore the original numbers, the cases were given a new numbering system and the circuit clerk's office indexed them. At the time that these order books were written, Green County also included the areas of Adair, Barren, Cumberland, Metcalfe, Pulaski, Russell, Taylor and Wayne. Part of them were breaking away during this time period.
