Edward Gresham was living at Nolfolk, England, about the beginning of the fourteenth century. His descendant, John Gresham, son of Sir Edward Gresham, was living in Virginia by 1650. His son, George Gresham, and his wife, Sara, were married in 1732. They had eleven children, 1733-1754. Record chiefly follows line to descent to William Thorton Gresham.
