Pleasant Snow (1844-1891), son of John Henry Snow and Nancy Smalley, was born in Roane County, Tennessee. He married Rebecca Massey (1839-1899), daughter of James S. Massey and Charlotte Snow, in 1864 in Laclede County, Missouri. They has eight children. He also had two children with his sister-in-law, Sarah Ann Massey. He died in Laclede County, Missouri. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Missouri.

William Wallace, of Scottish descent, immigrated to Virginia from Scotland or Ireland, ca. 1730, and settled in Albemarle County. His son, John Wallace (1732-ca. 1820), a Revolutionary War soldier, migrated to Kentucky in 1783 and to Wayne County, Indiana, in 1811. Moses Hanks (ca. 1747-1831), probably the son of Luke Hanks (d. ca. 1756), married Aggatha Doson, ca. 1768. They had twelve children, 1769-1793, all born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. The Mettetal family originated in Glay, France in the fifteenth century. Later they moved to Etupes in France, where they are known to have been mostly Protestants.
