Description
August Hackbarth was born 12 August 1845 in Germany. He immigrated to America with his parents ca. 1857 and they settled in Eldorado, Wisconsin. August married his first cousin Alvina Hackbarth in the year 1865. They moved to Morgan Township, Franklin Co., Iowa in the Fall of 1868. August and Alvina were the parents of fifteen children. Descendants lived in Iowa, Minnesota and elsewhere.

Friedrich Wilhelm Franz Heck, son of Friedrich Heck (1845-1921) and Albertina Hackbarth (1852-1926), was born in 1890 in Chanhassen, Minnesota. He married Ida Anna Hennig (1894-1975), daughter of Johann August Julius Hennig (1858-1925) and Auguste Christina Welke (1863-1897), in 1918. He died in 1930 in Hennepin County, Minnesota. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Prussia, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
