Biography of Alfred Sidney Hadden (1813-1895), grandson of early Kentucky settler Samuel Hadden (b.1749), who was born at Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, moved to Indiana and then Illinois, became a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and moved to Parowan and later Castle Dale, Utah, and married three times.

John Milton Morris was born 7 January 1826 in Ross Township, Butler, Ohio. He married Helen Ann Minerva Millson (1832-1911) 6 August 1848 in Cincinnati, Hamilton, Ohio. They had 17 children. John died 27 January 1915 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California. Descendants lived mainly in Ohio, Kansas and California.

James Lea (1718-1788) and his brother, Luke, immigrated about 1740 from England to Virginia and married Anne Tolbert. They moved to North Carolina about 1749, and James fought as a colonist in the Revolutionary War.

Allen Townsend was born 21 November 1801 in Marlboro, Co., South Carolina. He was the sixth child of thirteen known children of John Townsend and Kiziah Hays. Allen married Sarah Briant 30 May 1821. They moved to Irwin Co., Georgia ca. 1825 where they began farming and by the mid part of the 1830s moved and settled in Madison Co., Florida. Jane Baird Hadden (1800-1867) was born in Lanarkshire, Scotland, the daughter of Robert and Janet Douglas Baird. She was transported to Australia in 1841. When free, she paid to have her children shipped to her. Joseph Johnson had been transported to Calcutta in 1803. After his pardon and after the death of his wife, he and Jane were married.

Robert Livingston (1654-1728) emigrated from Scotland to Albany, New York in 1673/1674, and married Alida Schuyler in 1679. In 1686, he received a grant for the Lordship and Manor of Livingston (originally 2,000 acres along the Hudson, expanded later to 160,000 acres). Benedictus Townsend was born in about 1710. He married Lucilla Light, daughter of William Light, in about 1735, probably in Sussex County, New Jersey. They had four known children, Thomas, John, Light and William. Benedictus died before 1769 in South Carolina.

John Page probably died between 28 July 1803 and 7 Mar 1804, the dates when his will was written and proved in Laurens County, South Carolina. His parents are not named, but he married Anne (?), no dates of birth, marriage, or names of her parents listed. They were the parents of 7 children. Anne moved to Warren County, Kentucky with five of her children. The descendants of John and Anne's eldest son, John Page II, have mostly lived in Texas.
