Barney Hagan (1799-1858) was born in County Leitrim, Ireland. In about 1826 he married Julia Casey (1803-1891), and with their two oldest children, John and Ann, they emigrated from Ireland in 1834. Aram Hughes (ca. 1746-1823), a son of Samuel Hughes and Hannah Litten Jones, was born in Maryland. He married Elizabeth Taylor in 1764. They had five children. He married Martha Sprucebanks in 1808.
