He held various political offices in the colony, including Deputy Governor and then Governor of New Jersey. Descendants and relatives lived in New Jersey, New England, Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia and elsewhere. Includes some family history and genealogy of ancestors in England to about 1066 A.D.

Robert Osborn Dempster (1796-1837) married Mary Denman (1804-1891), daughter of John Denman and Ann Heatherly, in 1825 in Willingdon, Sussex, England. They had five children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in England, Australia, India and British Columbia.

Description
John Whipple, son of Matthew Whipple, was baptized 29 August 1596 in Bocking, Essex, England. He married Susanna in about 1620 and they had eleven children. They emigrated in about 1638 and settled in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in England, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York and Illinois.
