He married Sylvia Cutler (1776-1858), daughter of Amos Cutler and Lucy Green, in 1800 in Boston. They had nine children, 1802-1817. James Carncross was born in 1825 in Scotland. He married Evelyn in 1854. Their son, Albert Cyril, married Emily Johnson 14 March 1871 in Leeds, Yorkshire. They had five children. Their sons, Albert Henry (1882-1966) and Frederick (1889- ) emigrated and settled in Erie County, New York. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in New York.
