William Delap was born in 1721 in County Armagh, Ireland. He married Ruth in about 1743. They had nine children. They emigrated in 1746 and settled in Pennsylvania. Alexander Brown was born ca. 1773 in Virginia. He married Violet Barton 25 February 1797 in Bedford Co., Virginia. They lived in Virginia and were the parents of ten known children.
