Edward Lycett (1792-1869), a son of Edward Lycett and Ann Allen, was born in England. He married Rebecca Howes (1793-1830), a daughter of George Howes and Rebecca Pigott. They had four children. Edward and the children immigrated to the United States in 1831, settling in Washington, D.C. Descendants live throughout the United States.
Includes Clapham, Hanbury, Jones, Wistar, and related families.

John Hanbury (b.ca.1615) immigrated from England to Norfolk County, Virginia in 1639. Descendants chiefly used the surnames of Hansborough or Hansbrough, and lived in Virginia, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas and elsewhere. Includes some English ancestry.

Thomas Sewell of Cumrew, Cumberland, England, and his wife, Elizabeth, had two sons and a daughter. He died in 1782 at the age of 87. His son, William, was born in 1721. He became the curate of Godshill, in the Isle of Wight in 1755 and held the curacy until 1763. He married Francis, daughter of Robert Clarke, at Newport, Isle of Wight, in 1766.
