James Bishop (ca. 1625-1691) emigrated from Surrey or Kent County, England, settled first in Massachusetts, and eventually settled at New Haven, Connecticut. Most volumes contain a different Bishop immigrant (as listed in the contents note below), and as many of his descendants and relatives as possible. William Bush (referred to in the title of this supplement) was a son of John Bush and Mary Bryan. The supplement explains that the wife of William Bush was named "Mary Hand" rather than "Mary Hare." She was a daughter of Peter Hand. Other additional data is included.

John Hand (1611-1660) married Alice Gransden about 1633, and immigrated between 1636 and 1640 from England to East Hampton, Long Island, New York. LaRoy Sunderland Hand (1839-1923), a direct descendant, moved from land near Schenevus, Otsego County, New York to Newark, Illinois where he married Ann West in 1863, later moving to Glenwood, Minnesota.
