Two sons of Hans Hauer of Neureuth, Germany, Christoph and Bernard, were the immigrant ancestors to America. Christoph (ca. 1701-1780) married Eva Müller in Blankenloch, Germany in 1729. Hans Bernard (b. 1715) married Anna Maria Meinzer in 1737. They came to America about 1751 and settled in Pennsylvania.

Noah Thomas Gettemy (1844-1925), son of Robert and Sarah Campbell Gettemy, was born probably on the farm east of Stahlstown. He married Mary Magdalene Weimer (1848-1928) 1862.
