He married Anna Ward Carty (1756-1829), daughter of William Ward and Mary Elizabeth Howard (?), 30 May 1782 in New Jersey. Daniel died 29 November 1845 in Hazen Settlement, Walsingham, Norfolk County, Ontario. Descendants have lived mainly in Ontario. Some descendants immigrated to the United States.
