Johann Heck (1810-1885), a son of Anna Lucia Hecken and Johann Peter Schmitz, was born in Prussia. He married Anna Barbara Shaefer (1801- 1855) in 1833. They immigrated to the United States in 1852, settling in Minnesota. They had five children. He married Susan Siebenbrunner Zeren (1820-1892), a widow with four children, in 1856. They had four children. Descendants live in Minnesota.

Daniel David Heck was born ca. 1760 in Pennsylvania, perhaps Maxatawny Township, Berks County, the son of Daniel Heck. He married Elizabeth MacLain in Frederick, Maryland, in 1783. She died shortly after the birth of their son, born in 1783. He married 2) Susanna Zollman, daughter of Adam Zollman, in Frederick County, Maryland, ca. 1785. They had six children, 1786-ca. 1800. Frederick Aman was born 14 February 1845 in Bergdorf, South Russia. His parents were Heinrich Aman and Fredrika Weiss. He married Eva Hoffman (1849-1923), daughter of Christoff Hoffman and Eva Barbara Ahl, in 1869. They had eight children. He died in 1916 in Lehr, North Dakota. Friedrich Wilhelm Franz Heck, son of Friedrich Heck (1845-1921) and Albertina Hackbarth (1852-1926), was born in 1890 in Chanhassen, Minnesota. He married Ida Anna Hennig (1894-1975), daughter of Johann August Julius Hennig (1858-1925) and Auguste Christina Welke (1863-1897), in 1918. He died in 1930 in Hennepin County, Minnesota. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Prussia, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

They immigrated to the United States in 1875 with their children Joseph, Anna, Wenzl or James, Mary, Barbara, and Franz or Frank. They settled on a farm near Riverside, Iowa. James McLarty was born 27 May 1827 in County Antrim, Ireland. He immigrated to America ca. 1850 and on the 24 January 1862 married Ann Ervin in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada. By 1863, they migrated to the United States and lived in Michigan prior to their settlement in Iowa. They were the parents of ten children. Descendants lived primarily in Iowa and elsewhere.
