Jacob Bower (1754-1825) moved from Pennsylvania to Maryland, served in the Revolutionary War, married Anna Rohrer in 1782 at Hagerstown, Maryland, and moved to Stark County, Ohio. Descendants lived in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, California and elsewhere.

He married Elizabeth Fuhriman and they had seven children. He died 30 March 1914. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Utah, Idaho and California.

Edward M. Dawson was born in England about 1836. With his parents Dennis and Ellen Dawson and 2 daughters Ellen and Jane, they arrived in New York City about the middle of the 19th century. Edward married Margaret Graham in 1861. Edward was a butcher by trade. He enlisted in the Civil War in Co. B, Independent Battalion, New York Infantry for 3 years. Edward and Margaret had six children.

Thomas John Hopkins (1871-1938) son of David Robert Hopkins and Keziah Shore, was born in Ebbw Vale, Monmouthshire, Wales. His family came to America in 1872 and settled first in Pennsylvania. They migrated to Utah in 1881 and eventually settled in Soda Springs, Idaho. He married Emma Petrine Christensen (1877-1936), daughter of of Christian Christensen and Marie Sophie Jensen, in 1894, she born in Denmark. They had fifteen children.
