He married Johanna Christine Clausen in 1849 in Ronne, Denmark. They were the parents of two children. She was born 17 Mar 1827 in Ronne, Denmark, to Lars Wefsten Clausen and Karen Margrethe Poulsen. Chiefly, a record of descendants of Herman Deickhoff who was born in 1751 and died on February 10, 1839. He married Elizabeth Marshall on June 27, 1791. Elizabeth died on November 20, 1831. They had thirteen children. Descendants descend thru Samuel Deickhoff who was born July 13, 1805. He married Hannah Strople on April 24, 1832. Hannah died on September 12, 1873. They had eight children.
