Description
Ephraim Knight was born ca. 1734 in Virginia and was the son of Richard Knight of Sussex Co., Virginia. Ephraim remained loyal to England during the Revolution and married Mary (surname unknown) prior to 1768. They were the parents of seven known children. Ephraim died ca. 1800 in North Carolina. Descendants lived primarily in North Carolina, Georgia, Texas and elsewhere.

Description
James Herren (1831-1905) married Rebecca Higgins, and moved from Alabama to Greene County, Arkansas about 1862. He served with the Confederate army during the Civil War, and for part of the time was a rebel prisoner of war. Descendants lived chiefly in Arkansas.

John Herring (1684-1760) emigrated and first settled in Isle of Wight Co., VA. He next settled in Chowan, Bertie and Lenoir Co., NC.. He may have had brothers, Samuel, Edward, Simon, Thomas, Abram and Anthony Herring. His wife may have been Cathuren Marbe. They were the parents of at least three children: John Jr., Joshua and Susanna who married a Becton. Their son Joshua (1723-1801) married Elizabeth Matchett (1728-1786), a native of Co. Down, Ireland....

John Stradley (Stradling)(1754-ca.1825) married Sarah Wheeler (1764- ca.1825) in 1785. Five of his ten children immigrated in the early 1800's from England to North and South Carolina. Descendants and relatives lived in North and South Carolina, Georgia and elsewhere in the United States, as well as a number of them in England.
