Richard King (ca. 1700-1782) was born near Dublin, Ireland and emigrated to the American colonies, settling in New York, Philadelphia, New Jersey and Rowan, North Carolina. His first wife Mary Ann died in 1729 in Philadelphia. His second wife Margaret Barclay he married in 1735 in New Jersey, by whom he had seven children.
