John Hickey (b.ca1713-1784) married Mary and they were the parents of eleven children. He died in Henry Co., Virginia. He was possibly born in Middlesex Co., VA. His father may have been John (d.1723) as recorded in Christ Church Parish, Middlesex Co., VA. Their grand daughter, Pemelia Hickey married Mark Crabtree and lived in Texas. Several generations of descendants are given.

Edward Burke was born ca. 1741 in Queens County, Maryland to John Burke and Ann Evans. He married Prudence Noel(?) sometime before 1783. He died in 1805 in Cambria Township, Pennsylvania. Contains family group sheets, copies of documents, obituaries and misc. items concerning Edward and his descendants. Descendants lived primarily in Pennsylvania. Variant spelling used is "Burk." All Burke/Burk names in the index have been indexed under "Burk.".

Sean Hickey, blacksmith, was born about 1829 in the townland of Lisnaboy, Cullen Parish, Co. Cork. He married Mary Cronin of the nearby townland of Knockduff. and they were the parents of nine children: Katherine, Andrew, Daniel J., Hanora, Denis, Patrick, William, Johanna and John. Surnames of the spouses of the children are Looney, Buckley, O'Connor, Howard, Sweeney, Herlihy and Roche. Descendents live in Ireland, the United States and Australia....

Jacob Johnson, Sr. is said to have been born in Virginia about 1750/60, and died about 1838 in Johnson County, Arkansas. He is said to have married Margaret Garrett. Both are buried at the Minnow Creek Cemetery, southwest of Hagarville, Arkansas. They had possibly six children, Eli T., Middie, Jacob, Jr., Elijah, David McLin, and Henry born ca. 1797 through ca. 1816. Zabin Cole was born 1783 in Rhode Island and married Sarah Draper ca. 1806 in Shaftsbury, Vermont. Sarah was the daughter of James Dreper and Ruth Pierce. Zabin and Sarah had a great grandaughter named Mary Levina Cole. Mary married Julius Becker in Syracuse, New York ca. 1912. Ancestors and descendants of the Cole and Becker families lived primarily in the state of New York.

Elizabeth Hickey was born in Tennessee about 1799. She is found in the 1830 census with seven young children in Alabama. Her second son is believed to be Granville Lewis Hickey who eventually settled in Texas . His descendants are the subject of this book. Most of his descandants still call Texas home.

Josiah and Phillip Earp were born in Maryland about 1760. They fought in the Revolutionary War and later moved to Virginia and later North Carolina. Later generations moved farther west and today descendants are found throughout the United States. John Anderson, son of John Anderson and Sythe Emmerson, was born in about 1800 in Cleveland Hills, Yorkshire, England. He married Elizabeth Robinson (d. 1844), daughter of Ralph Robinson and Ann Archer, in 1820. They had eight children. He married Martha Barclay Kelly in 1847. They had two children. He died in 1871 in Nassagaweya Township, Halton, Ontario. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Ontario.
