Abraham Hicks was born April 26, 1824 in Miami County, Indiana. His parents were Isaac Hicks (ca. 1791-1857) and Jane Beard (b. abt. 1796). He married Susannah Farlow, daughter of Simeon Farlow and Mary Ritter, December 31, 1848 in Peru, Miami, Indiana. They had three children. Susannah was born January 2, 1830 in Miami County, Indiana. Robert Hicks was born in what is now Perry Co., Kentucky, and married Elizabeth Polley. They moved to Louisville, Kentucky; Monroe Co., Indiana; and Douglas Co., Missouri, where he married widow Catherine Sweeton. He died in 1863 in Jefferson City, Missouri.
