Peter Grisier (1837-1911) immigrated from France to land near Bryan, Ohio in 1851, with his parents and their family. He married widow Anna (Chapman) Strode in 1865 in Highland County, Ohio, and they moved to Woodson County, Kansas in 1882. After Anna's death in 1885, Peter married Catherine Swiler in 1892. Descendants lived in Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, California and elsewhere.

John Milton Nunn was born 3 September 1836 in Maribone, Kentucky. He was a descendant of Walter Nunn (born ca. 1774 in Henry Co., Virginia) and Sally Wash. John moved to Texas ca. 1856 to seek employment and married Sallie Heiston sometime prior to the year 1865. They settled in Bonham, Texas and were the parents of seven children. Descendants lived in Texas, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Virginia, New Jersey, Georgia, California and elsewhere.

John B. Longenecker was born in Pennsylvania in 1817. His family were Mennonites and he married Nancy Siegrist Garber. They had nine children, six of whom grew to adulthood and married.
