Johannes Henkel/Hinkle was born in 1856 in Norka, Russia. He married Katherina Krieger (1880-1897), daughter of Conrad Krieger and Magdalena Hesse, in 1880. They had four children. He married Eugenia Weibert in 1898. They had one daughter, He died in 1934 in Lincoln, Nebraska.

John J. Hinkle was born about 1828 in Missouri. He married Matilda before 1849 and died between 1862 and 1869 in Greene County, Arkansas. They had six children.
Matilda married John M. Liddell in 1868 after John's death. Matilda passed away sometime after 1900. They had four children.
