Description
Residents of Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia were evidently transplanted from Germany to New Germany, N.S. between 1750 and 1753. Some of the first families were Isenor/Eisenhauer, Hirtle, Schneider/Snyder Dodd, Doliver and Feener whose children intermarried. Descendants scattered throughout Canada and into many of the United States.

Johann Peter Zwicker was born in 1710 in Zeiskam, Germersheim, Germany. He married Maria Magdalena Haffner (1709-1787) in 1735. They had five children. He died in 1789 in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Nova Scotia.

Wilhelm Wentzell was born in 1705 in Darmstadt, Hessen, Germany. He married Anna Maria Conradt. They had six children. They emigrated in 1751 and settled in Nova Scotia. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Nova Scotia and Massachusetts.
