Description
Isaac Hitchcock, Sr., son of Joshua Hitchcock (1742-1834) and Typhenia Perkins (1784-1842), was born in 1779 in North Carolina. He married Elizabeth Wheeler in 1798 in Washington County, Virginia. They had eight children. He died in 1855 in Santa Cruz, California.

William Hitchcock was born in about 1649 in Kent, England. He emigrated in 1670 and settled in Maryland. He married Mary Graves, daughter of Robert P. Graves and Amelia Gerves, in 1670. They had two sons, William and Christopher. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Missouri and California.

Anthony Howd (1640?-1675) is believed to be the ancestor of all of the Howds in the United States. He was born in England and arrived in Maryland in 1662-1663.
