Descendants of Hans Joist Hite (Heydt) (1685-1760), native of Alsace. He first migrated to Holland, where in 1708 he married Anna Maria du Bois (1690-1738), daughter of Louis du Bois. Their first child, Mary, was born in Keizersgracht, Holland. In 1710 family immigrated to Kingston, N.Y. and in 1715 to Germantown, Pennsylvania. He died in Shenandoah Valley. Descendants of the emigrant ancestor, Jost Hite (Hans Justus Heyd) (1685-1761), son of Johannes Jost and Magdalena Heyd. He was born in Bonfeld, Germany. Michael Feezel, son of Micahel Feezel, was born about 1750-1755 in Virginia. He married Christina Hanks, daughter of John Hanks and Margaret Williams, on 5 May 1782 in Shenandoah County, Virginia. Joist Hite was born ca. 1685 in Europe. His first wife was Anna Maria (surname unknown). They immigrated to the United States ca. 1710 after the birth of their first child. They lived in Benbrenors Township Pennsylvania and by 1731 settled in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Joist was the father of eight children. Descendants lived primarily in Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio and elsewhere.
