Abigail Van Dam was born 20 June 1876 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her parents were Herbert Van Dam and Mary Elizabeth Holding Evans. She married Albert White in about 1895. They had one daughter, Alberta Leona. Albert died in 1897. She married Benjamin Franklin Farrer (1873-1950) in 1901 in Park City. They had five sons. Abigail died in 1946. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Utah and the Netherlands.

John Plympton (ca.1620-1677) immigrated from England to Boston, Massachusetts in 1630, and moved to Dedham, Massachusetts in 1640. Calvin Guy Plimpton (1815-1864), a direct descendant, married Priscilla Guild Lewis in 1840, and lived in Walpole, Massachusetts. Barnard Fidler was born ca. 1653, the son of William Fidler of Derby County, England. He immigrated to America in 1680 and settled at Woodbury, New Jersey. His son, John Fidler (d. 1759), moved to Hopewell Township, Mercer County, New Jersey, before 1703. He and his wife, Sarah Smith, had seven children. Descendants listed lived in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, and elsewhere.

Hugh Howell was born in about 1720, possibly in New Jersey. He married Margaret in about 1744 in New Jersey. In about 1763 they moved to Loudoun County, Virginia. They had nine known children.
