John H. Lauck (1818-1876), a son of John Lauck and Elizabeth Crum, married Harriet Cornelia Hatcher (1829-1894), a daughter of Jesse Hatcher and Anna Maria Miller, in 1845. Both families were from Virginia, but had moved to Ohio. This is a compilation of transcripts of personal and official records regarding members of both families.

Description
Robert Hogg or Hoge (1721-1798), a native of Southern Scotland, immigrated early in life to County Down, Ireland, and in 1752 to America. He settled in 1754 on land in Tuscarora Valley, Pennsylvania. He and his wife, Letitia (1724-1812), had seven children, 1751-1766. Descendants listed lived in Pennsylvania and elsewhere.

George Hoge was born in Scotland, and probably between 1685-1688 was "banished" to America; he married Barbara Hume, daughter of Sir James Hume, who was similarly banished and on the same ship. Includes records of the Walker family, and of the McCormick family.

Frederick Diss (b.1825), born in Hopwell Parrish, Sussex County, England, son of Abram Diss. He immigrated to America in 1851, and married Eliza Clay (sister to Henry Clay) in 1852 in Buffalo New York. Descendants and relatives lived in Florida, Illinois, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, California and elsewhere.

The Hoge families are descended from William Hoge (b. 1660) of Musselboro, Scotland. He came to America in 1682. He married Barbara Hume and they lived in Perth Amboy, New Jersey and later settled in the Cumberland Valley of Pennsylvania. Descendants (many spelling the surname Hogue) and relatives lived in Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia and elsewhere.

Richard Swan (b.ca1680) immigrated in 1730 to the Colonies and settled at Philadelphia, PA. He was the father of six sons. One son, Richard (1711-1768) married Ann Jones in 1736. She was the daughter of Benjamin Jones. They were the parents of five children. Their only son was Richard (1739-1764).

William Gregg (1616-ca.1672) of Clan Gregor, immigrated from Scotland to County Antrim, and Ardmore, Waterford County, Ireland. His son, William Gregg (1641-1687), became a Quaker convert, and immigrated to New Castle County, Delaware. Descendants lived in Delaware, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin and related families.
