Robert Russell was born 13 March 1811 in Loftus, England, son of Thomas Russell and Sarah Grainge. He married Sarah Charlton/Adamson 21 May 1833 in Port Hope, Canada. They immigrated to Cannan, Wayne, Ohio. He died 1 June 1888 in Caanan, Wayne, Ohio. Sarah died 22 Oct 1871 in Caanan, Wayne, Ohio. They had nine children.
