Henry Howland immigrated to Plymouth, Massachusetts before 1624, and married Mary Newland.

Irene Florence Laughton (1897- ) and her brother Ervine Ellsworth were both born in Bristol, Lincoln Co., Maine. Their parents were Capt. Edwin Alfonzo and Josie May Lewis Laughton. In 1930, Irene married William McKinley Parkes and they had two children, who were both born in Pasadena, Los Angeles Co., California.

Deacon William Crocker was born in England about 1612 and died at Barnstable, Massachusetts, September 1692. Includes Davis, Howland and allied families.

In September of 1620 Richard Warren, John Howland, John and Joan Tilley and their daughter Elizabeth, Edward Fuller and wife and their son Samuel, embarked on the Mayflower in Plymouth, England and began their passage to Plymouth, Massachusetts. These individuals are ancestors of Nora Woodworth Townsend, the author's grandmother.

Lydia Ann Beebe (1844-1922) was born in Evans, New York to William Albert Beebe (1813-1884) and Louisa Newton (1817-1886). She was a direct descendant of Eilizabeth Tilley (1607-1687) and John Howland (1592-1673) who were members of the Mayflower Company. Spencer Harold Gore, son of Joseph Harold Gore and Mary Agnes Spencer, was born in 1915 in Orofino, Indinana. Both of his parents were born in Illinois. His wife was Frances Jean Robinson (b. 1916).
