John Taylor, son of John Taylor and Rhoda, was born in about 1641 in Windsor, Connecticut. He married Thankful Woodward 13 December 1662. He died in 1704 in Deerfield, Massachusetts. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Massachusetts, New York, Utah and Arizona.

John Esplin (1828-1895) joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and left Scotland for Salt Lake City, Utah. He married Margaret Webster in 1853.
