A genealogy of the descendants of Thomas Hughson born about 1670 who came from England or Scotland about 1690 and settled in Dobbs Ferry, Weschester County, New York. He married Maria Dobbs ca. 1694. He died after 1741. They were the parents of nine children. Includes other unrelated families with the Hughson and Huson name in America.

Michael Henry Hughson was born 24 November 1854 in Buffalo, New York. His parents were William Hughson and Bridgett Quinn. He married Ellen Culhane (1866-1936), daughter of Patrick Culhane (1832-1902) and Julia Rossiter 5 May 1885 in Niagara Falls, Ontario. They had six children. Michael died 9 April 1920. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Ontario. Includes Schell and related families.

Alexander Clark (b.1743) married Mary Hoff in 1763 and, as Loyalists, the family emigrated from New Jersey to Parrtown, New Brunswick after the Revolutionary War. Descendants lived in New Brunswick and elsewhere. Some descendants immigrated to New England, New York and elsewhere in the United States.
