William Humphrey, son of Squire Humphrey and Sallie Sweet, was born in Coshocton County, Ohio in 1824. He married Sarah Stocker (d. 1864) in 1844. They had ten children. He married Rectina Thomas in 1866. They had one child. He died in1893 in Illinois.
