Samuel Roberts (1860-1923) was born in Spring Mill, Pennsylvania, son of Joseph Roberts (1820-1886) and his second wife, Martha Wrigley (1817-1880). Samuel married Emma Hunsberger Rylands (1861-1955), daughter of William Rylands and Sarah Hunsberger. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, New York, and elsewhere.

John Krause Kulp was born in Pennsylvania in 1851. He married Hannah Keyser in 1875 andn they had 6 children. Information on many of their descendants is included in this volume.
