Description
Adam Hurd was born in about 1610, probably in England. He emigrated and settled in Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut. He had one known child, John Hurd, Jr., who married Anna Tuttle Judson. They had seven children. Descendants and relatives lived in Connecticut, Vermont, Pennsylvania, Illinois, New York and elsewhere. .

James Reynolds was probably born in the 1620s in England. He married Deborah in about 1647, probably in Plymouth Colony, Massachusetts. They had eight children. James died in 1700 in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Descendants and relatives lived in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Illinois, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Minnesota and elsewhere.

James Smith (b. unknown) was in Poultney, Rutland Co., Vermont by 1777 when the inhabitants were all driven off by Burgoynés army. Descendants settled in New York, Illinois, Wisconsin, Vermont, and elsewhere.
Includes Hurd, Brookins, Fassett, Fenn, Hill, Kellogg, Manning, and other allied families.

John Francis was born 21 January 1803 in England. He married Susan (Susannah) Swan 17 October 1825 at Witham-on-the-Hill, England. They had ten children: Charles, John, Susan, Job, Jane, Mary, Ann, William, Eliza, and Isaac. John and Susan and many of their children's families later immigrated to the United States and settled in Illinois. Includes eight generations of descendants from John and Susan.
