John Van Vleet (1809-1858) was the eleventh child of Peter Van Vleet and Mary Blue; Peter and Mary moved from New Jersey to Seneca County, New York. John married Jane Miller and moved to Calhoun County, Michigan. Descendants and relatives lived in New York, Michigan, Ohio and elsewhere.

Hoyt Keith Veber, son of Verne Voss Veber and Mabel Dorothea Holmdahl, was born 5 Jan 1921 in Grinnell, Poweshiek County, Iowa. He married Wilma Arlene Graham on 11 Nov 1944 in Santo Monica, California. They had 6 children. Wilma died 23 Aug 1986 in Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa.
