A biography of Plenty-coups, chief of the Crow Indians in Montana. He was born in 1848 at the place called "The-cliff-that-has-no-pass. It is not very far from Billings, Montana. His mother's name was Otter-woman and his father's name was Medicine-bird. Plenty-coups died 4 Mar 1932.

A biography of Pretty-shield, a medicine woman of the Crow Indians in Montana. She was born in 1859 across the Missouri River from the mouth of Plum Creek. Her mother's name was Kills-in-the-night and her father's name was Crazy-sister-in-law. She was the fourth of eleven children. She married Goes-ahead when she was sixteen years old.
