Ambroise Sicard (surname anglicized to Secord) was born in 1631 in LaRochelle, France, and as a Huguenot, immigrated via The Netherlands and England to New Rochelle, Westchester Co., New York in 1689, and he may have been living as late as 1712.

Zadoc Ingell was born at Taunton, Massachusetts, 9 May 1760, the son of James Ingell. He served in the Revolutionary War and after the Revolution settled at Oakham and finally at Chester, Massachusetts, by 1782. He married Christiana Bell (1762-1835), daughter of William and Christine McFarland Bell of Chester. They had six children. He died at Chester, 21 Dec. 1832. Descendants lived in Massachusetts, Ohio, New York, and elsewhere.
