Family history and genealogical information about the descendants of John Henry Welcker who was born 4 December 1776 in Germany. He immigrated to America and landed in Baltimore 19 July 1797. John married Elizabeth Inman sometime prior to the year 1808. They lived in Roane Co., Tennessee and were the parents of nine sons and two daughters. Descendants lived primarily in Tennessee.

William Ledgerwood (ca.1701-1792), and two brothers, James and John, immigrated from Scotland (via Ireland) to Augusta County, Virginia during or before 1738. Samuel Ledgerwood (d.1817), probably a son of John, moved from Virginia to Greene (now Knox) County, Tennessee in the early 1800s, and married Sarah (Sally) Pearce in 1808. Descendants lived in Virginia, Tennessee, Indiana and elsewhere.

William Lewis Hutton, son of Isaac Hutton and Mahala Payton, was born in 1849 or 1850 in Martin County, Indiana. He married Margaret Huff Sargent in 1867 and they had four children. He married Barbara Hamilton Shoemaker in 1873 and they had one son. He married Permelia Bruce Swango, a widow, in 1879. They had five children. Includes Inman and related families.

Stephen Henry Inman was born 29 March 1860 in Green County, Wisconsin. His family moved to Franklin County, Iowa in 1864. He married Lynda Wall 3 December 1882. They had seven children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Iowa, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey and Kansas.
