John Jardine was born in 1830 in Lanarkshire, Scotland. He joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1849. He married Agnes Beveridge (1829-1907) in 1851. They immigrated to the United States in 1855 and in 1859 moved to Utah where they settled in Wellsville. They were asked to move to Clarkston in 1876 where John served as bishop. John died in 1903. Includes some research that has been done on the Jardine line.
