George Jarvis was born in England in 1823. His family joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1848 and came to Utah about 1860. He married Ann Prior and later Mary Webb. He was the father of eleven children and had three other adopted children. Information on many of his ancestral lines is given in this material researched by his granddaughter. George Jarvis (1704-1793), son of William Jervis and Ann, was born in Staunton-upon-Wye, Herefordshire, England. He married Sarah Strange (d. 1729) in 1728. He married Rebecca Blaksley (d. 1741) in 1731. They had three daughters. He married Frances Harvey (d. 1765) in 1745. He died in 1793 in Weston Green. His daughter, Mary (1733-1818), married William Twysden and they had four children.
