Jonas Anderson (1815-1903) was born in Norway. He lived in Halden, Norway. He immigrated to America ca. 1870 with his wife Olina (1825-1906) and their eight children. Family lived first in Chicago, Illinois. In 1873 he moved to Washington via San Francisco. Jonas settled near Carnation, Washington. His family followed him there in 1875. Jonas and Olina Anderson moved to Seattle in 1903.

Family history and life of Jonas A. McLain (1837-1890), son of Isaac McLain and Elizabeth Holloway, who was born in Tennessee, and died in Polk Co., Ark. He married Sarah Jane Floyd (1846-1889), daughter of Turner Floyd and Nancy Smith, in 1862 in Murray, Georgia. She was born in Georgia. Their six children were born in Georgia and Arkansas.

Jonas Beard was born in about 1730 in Colmar, Alsace, France. He emigrated in about 1738 and settled in Pennsylvania. He married Agnes Catherine Kirchner Singler (1738-1804) 30 June 1762 in Lexington County, South Carolina. They had eight children. He was a colonel and he fought in the Revolutionary War. He died 7 July 1796. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in South Carolina, Georgia and Colorado.
