Martin Henry Keever was born in 1727 in Maryland. He married Christena Schwister or Schweitzer in about 1761. They had nine children. He died in Warren County, Ohio in 1824. His brother, Michael, was born in about 1730 in Pennsylvania. He married Susan Schuester Brandenburg, a widow with five children, in about 1765. They had five children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana.
