Peter Ealer (Oehler-Ehler) was born in 1744 at Bibleheim, Graft-Schaft, Dansig. He immigrated to America in 1761. He married Elizabeth Dietz (1741-1780), daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Dietz, at Easton, Pennsylvania, in 1765. He married 2) Maria Dietz Meem in 1781. He died in 1822. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania and elsewhere.

John M. Hochstetler of Barr Mills, Ohio was born 24 January 1866. He was the son of Moses Hochstetler and a descendant of Jacob Hochstetler (born 1704) who immigrated to America from Switzerland 1 September 1736. John married Lydia Bontrager 1 March 1888. They lived in Ohio and were the parents of eight children. Descendants lived in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Virginia, Wisconsin and elsewhere.
