Alva Keller was born 17 April 1809 in Cherry Valley, Otsago, New York. His parents were William Keller and Mary Flint. He married Roxey Elliott 23 July 1833 in Centerville, New York. They had ten children. They became members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1835. They moved with other church members to Missouri, Illinois and then Millcreek, Utah. Walter Marion Keller was born near King City, Missouri in 1887, and married Alleen Fairbourn, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Salt Lake City in 1915.

John Fall Keller was born July 21, 1825. He married Martha Francis Jackson November 28, 1850. She was born February 14, 1833.
