Richard Williams immigrated to Pennsylvania, ca. 1704. He married Margaret Eaton at Gwynedd, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, in 1717. William Womack (b.ca.1605/1610), probably a Quaker, immigrated from England to Henrico County, Virginia, and married widow Mary Jane Allen. Their first son was born in 1644. Samuel Bicknell first settled (probably about 1770) in what is now Wilkes Co., North Carolina, and later moved near Somers Township, Wilkes Co., North Carolina, where he died about 1819. He married twice and was the father of fourteen children, born ca. 1763-ca. 1815. Descendants lived in North Carolina, Kentucky, Indiana and elsewhere. The surname is also spelled Becknell.
