John Kennedy was born in Ireland in about 1702. In about 1708 he was kidnapped and brought to Maryland as a servant. He married and had two sons. His wife died and he married a Miss Owens in about 1741 and had six sons and a daughter. John died in middle age and his wife married Robert Darr. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina and Tennessee.
