Maier Fechheimer (1755-1830) married twice and was a merchant in Mitwitz, Germany. Five of his ten sons by his second wife immigrated to the United States, as did some of the children of the sons who remained in Germany. Gertrud Kiefer Spaniol Fehr (d.1849) was the daughter of Michael Kiefer and Maria Elizabetha Koch of Buschfeld in Landkreis Saar Louis von Stadt Schlmelz, Saarland, Germany. Claude Joseph Adonis Favier was born 10 September 1810 in Doubs, France. His parents were Alexandre Faivre (1761-1836) and Jeanne Francoise Jeannin. He married Jeanne Elizabeth Cordier, daughter of Claude Antoine Cordier, 23 November 1841. They had seven children. He died in 1887 in Perry County, Missouri. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Missouri.
