Patrick Kincaid was born about 1743 and died 27 December 1817. He is buried in the Maquoit Cemetery near Brunswick, Maine. His wife was Mary Hunt (1748-1821), daughter of David Stanwood and Mary Hunt. They had six children.

The ancestors of Steve Kincaid arrived before the American Revolution and lived mostly in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. They were part of the general Scots-Irish migration from Ulster. Clan Kincaid originated in Sterlingshire, Scotland and was associated with Clan MacFarlane and the Earls of Lennox.

Nathan Dillon, son of Peter Dillon and Lydia Clemmens, married Zylpha Van Leuven, daughter of Benjamin Van Leuven and Catherine Snyder, 15 December 1842 in Missouri. They had twelve children. They were living in Quincy, Illinois in 1852 when they decided to migrate west. They settled in Visalia, California in 1853. Includes Green, Kincaid and related families.

John Kincaid immigrated to America ca. 1750 and settled first in what is now Lincoln County, North Carolina. He married twice and was the father of eighteen children. He moved to Burke County, North Carolina, in 1792, where he purchased 1400 acres. Some descendants of his children, William, James, Robert, Archibald, Ibby, and Katherine, lived in North Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas, Idaho, Alabama, Mississippi, and elsewhere.

Samuel Kincaid (d.1813), according to family tradition, came from Allegheny County, Pennsylvania to Manchester, Ohio and settled there. He married Sarah Reed and they had seven children. He enlisted in the War of 1812 and was killed at the siege of Fort Meigs in 1813.
