David Kinkade (d.1830) was the son of John Kinkade and Polly Davis of Green County, Pennsylvania. His grandfather John Kinkade married Jane (unknown) near Belfast, Ireland and emigrated to the colonies about 1750. Descendants lived in Indiana, Missouri, Illinois, and elsewhere.

The Porterville Putnams are descended from Simon de Puttenham of England. Their immigrant ancestor was John Putnam of Buckinghamshire Co., England and Salem, Massachusetts.
